Medical Redshirt (2025): Jones pitched in five games, starting four, for the Bucs last season before seeing his season come to an end with an injury. He went 1-0 with a 4.80 ERA across 15 innings pitched, striking out 19 and walking 7 along the way. He made his collegiate debut against St. Johns River, going two scoreless frames with three strikeouts and earned his first win with three shutout innings against East Georgia, striking out six in the process. 

Fall 2024: Jones spent the Fall of his freshman year at the University of South Carolina. 

High School: Jones prepped at Broome High School and P27 Academy. 

Personal: Born February 14, 2006, he is the son of Bobby and Holly Jones. He has an older sister, Riley (26).

Sharks Strike Late Twice to Sweep Bucs Friday

The #10 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers saw their 2026 regular season come to an end in disappointing fashion Friday in Miami as the Miami Dade Sharks walked them off with a two run home run in the bottom of the 7th in a 5-4 game one win before scoring three runs in the final two innings in game two of the doubleheader to win 5-2 to take the series and send the Bucs on the road for the first round of the FCSAA Tournament for the first time in three seasons.

FSW Homers Four Times in Win Over Pioneers

The #6 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers hit four home runs and got 4 1/3 outstanding innings from their bullpen as they blew by the Indian River Pioneers 11-3 in non-conference action Tuesday in Fort Pierce.

10 Run Fifth Powers Bucs Past Pasco

The #6 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers used a 10 run 5th inning to hammer the DII #2 Pasco-Hernando Bobcats 14-2 in non-conference Tuesday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers. Robbie Demetree and Evan Taveras provided the punch for the Bucs, hitting back to back home runs in the 10 run FSW 5th and combining for seven RBIs in the inning.

Bucs Blow Past Bobcats in Midweek Tuneup

The #6 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers raced past the visiting St. Thomas Bobcats Tuesday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, getting an outstanding pitching effort from four different arms and a three hit day from Keenan Jabeth to win 8-1 to improve to 17-5 on the year.

Walley Leads Bucs Past Chargers on Super Sunday

After three tight contests to begin their weekend, the #3 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers had a little easier time on Super Bowl Sunday, using a three hit game from Cris Walley to defeat the Columbia State Chargers 11-5 to finish the weekend 2-2 and return to Fort Myers with an 8-2 record on the year.
