NJCAA Announces Blanket Eligibility Waiver For 2020-2021 Season Thursday, the NJCAA announced a blanket eligibility waiver for the upcoming 2020-2021 athletic year, meaning that no NJCAA student-athletes will be charged a year of eligibility whether they play or not during their respective seasons.
Bucs Retool with Nine Newcomers on 2020-2021 Roster After moving eight players on to the NCAA Division I level last season, a Florida SouthWestern State Men’s Basketball program that has gone 59-5 over the past two seasons had lots of restocking to do for 2020-2021. His role changed significantly as a sophomore as he stepped into the limelight of being the Bucs' bonafide star and it was never more evident than in FSW's Suncoast Conference opener in 2020 when he brought us our #3 moment on our countdown of the Top 10 Moments in FSW Athletics in 2019-20, his record breaking 41 point performance against St. Petersburg.
NJCAA Pushes Volleyball/Basketball to January Starts Florida SouthWestern State Athletics fans who were hoping to get back into Suncoast Credit Union Arena to cheer on the Buccaneers this fall will have to wait a little bit longer as Monday, the NJCAA announced that a number of sports, including Volleyball and Basketball, have been moved from fall starts, to January starts due to COVID-19 for the 2020-2021 season.
