Bucs Slide In at #6 In Week Two Poll
The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers remained at #6 in the NJCAA National Rankings this week following a series victory over Santa Fe last week.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers remained at #6 in the NJCAA National Rankings this week following a series victory over Santa Fe last week.
The Bucs took two out of three from the Saints to move to 16-5 on the year. Thursday at home at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers they took an 11-8 decision to open the series before splitting a pair of one run games in Gainesville Saturday to clinch the series win.
Chipola remained on top of the poll while Johnson County and McLennan moved up two spots to #2 and #3, Walters dropped a spot to #4, and Cloud County passed the Bucs up to #5 after an impressive sweep of 1-13 Marshalltown over the weekend.
The Bucs will square off against St. Thomas at home on Tuesday before beginning a three game Citrus Conference series with Indian River on the road Thursday in Fort Pierce.
