Bucs Back Into Top 10 For Stretch Run
The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers will head into the final week of the 2026 regular season in the Top 10 of the NJCAA National Rankings as Monday FSW moved up one spot to #10 in the week nine poll.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers will head into the final week of the 2026 regular season in the Top 10 of the NJCAA National Rankings as Monday FSW moved up one spot to #10 in the week nine poll.
Last week the Bucs sandwiched blowout wins around a 4-0 loss in a series win over Seminole State to move to 32-13 on the year. Thursday the Bucs broke out the bats, hammering four home runs in a 15-2 thrashing of the Raiders at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers. The two games Saturday in Sanford couldn't have been much different as FSW was blanked 4-0 in game one of the doubleheader, managing just two hits as the Raiders evened the series before finding their swings once again in game two for an 11-1 run rule victory in six to take the series two games to one.
The top of the poll remained unchanged this week with red hot Johnson County remaining at #1 with a 46-2 record followed by Midland at 42-3. Chipola, Gaston, and Cloud County rounded out the week nine top five. Four FCSAA squads were ranked, joining #3 Chipola and #10 FSW was #19 Central Florida and #21 Gulf Coast who lead the Citrus and Panhandle Conferences respectively, going into the final week of regular season action.
The Bucs begin a big three game series against Miami Dade at home Thursday at 3 PM on Sophomore Day at the park as FSW recognizes their 18 sophomores playing their final regular season games of their careers at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers. The winner of the series will host a playoff series while the loser will go on the road next weekend to begin postseason play.
