Freshman (2022-2023):  Thomas played in 28 games and drew 4 starts for the Bucs as a freshman last season. He put up 4.4 points and 1.4 assists per game, logging 14.1 minutes per contest. He scored in double figures three times on the season including a career best 15 point peformance against State College of Florida in which he finished 6-12 from the field and nailed a career high 3 three pointers as well as dishing out a career best 6 assists.  Also a star in the classroom, Thomas was a 2nd Team NJCAA All-Academic Team selection while also earning his way onto the FCSAA and Southern Conference All-Academic Teams.  

High School: Thomas came to FSW from Whitney Young High School in Illinois where he was a member of the 1,000 point club.  As a senior he put up 20 points and 5 assists per game while shooting 50% from the field. 

Personal: Born July 9, 2003 he is the son of Kristine Wilkins and Jason Thomas who played collegiately at Florida A&M University. He has a sister, Jaeh (9), and two brothers, Jahleel (6), and Josiah (18).

Bucs Season Ends In Last Second Heartbreaker

In what seemed to be the story of their season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers suffered another last second defeat Wednesday night in the opening round of the FCSAA State Tournament in Niceville, watching as #9 Northwest Florida State was fouled and made a free throw with 2.7 seconds remaining to come away with a 66-65 win to end the Buccaneers 2024 season.

Bucs Suffer Heartbreaking Loss In Regular Season Finale

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers led the #8 Daytona State Falcons for 37:56 of their Citrus Conference tilt Monday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.  The Falcons didn't lead for a single second of game action.  However, in one of the oddest quirks you will see on a stat sheet, the Falcons, who erased a 17 point FSW lead over the final 10 minutes of the contest, got a game winning basket with less than 0.1 on the clock to stun the Bucs and claim their share of the inaugural Citrus Conference Championship.

Pioneers Upset Bucs In Final Road Game of 2024

For the second straight game, the #24  Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers struggled in the second half Saturday afternoon on the road at Indian River, unfortunately for the Bucs, they didn't have the same 24 point lead at the break they did the last time out and it cost them as Indian River pulled off a 79-76 upset to make the Bucs road to a Citrus Conference Championship much more difficult with one game left to go in the regular season.

Bucs Win Fourth Straight

Jaehshon Thomas and Tyrone Baker combined for 43 points as the #24 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers won their fourth straight game Saturday afternoon in a 79-57 romp over the visiting Santa Fe Saints at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers.

Bucs Get Past Panthers In Low Scoring Affair

For fans of offense, Monday night's game between the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and the Palm Beach State Panthers wasn't for you. The consolation prize for FSW fans was the Bucs coming away with a 67-50 win in a game that was marred with 32 turnovers and a combined 23% shooting from the three point line.

Bucs Drop Buzzer Beating Heartbreaker to #4 Salt Lake

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers went toe to toe with the #4 Salt Lake Bruins Friday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, but with time winding down a last second prayer for the Bruins was answered and Salt Lake walked off the Bucs 73-70 to close out the 2023 FSW Classic.

Jets Sink Bucs In Georgia

The #8 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were stunned 61-56 on the road Friday night by South Georgia Tech in the 2023 Jet Classic in Americus, Georgia. FSW managed to shoot just 38% from the field and shot a dreadful 5-13 from the free throw line in the defeat.
