TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- After leading the #2 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers to a perfect 6-0 performance at the Paradise Cove Classic Tournament last week, sophomore outfielder Noelani Livingstone has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week as announced by the State on Tuesday.
Livingstone terrorized opposing defenses last week, hitting .667 with four extra base hits, 10 RBIs, and nine runs scored in six FSW wins. She started the week just about as perfect as she could have, going 5-5 with a double, a triple, and five RBIs in a doubleheader sweep over Spoon River on Wednesday. She backed that up with another big day on Thursday when she went 2-3 with a homer and four RBIs in a game one victory over #25 Southern Idaho before extending her hit streak to six with a knock and a run scored in game two of the twinbill. Friday and Saturday she was back at it, collecting a pair of hits in a Bucs win over Salt Lake before wrapping up the week with two hits and three runs scored in an 8-0 shutout win over St. Johns River.
On the season Livingstone is hitting a cool .606 which ranks third in the state while her 12 stolen bases also rank in the top five.
Livingstone and the Bucs are back in action on Tuesday on the road in New Port Richey when they take on Pasco-Hernando in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 1 PM.
