Bucs Up One to #4 in Latest Rankings
Following a 4-0 week which saw them outscore their opponents by a score of 22-6, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers climbed up one spot to #4 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings released Monday by the National Office.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Following a 4-0 week which saw them outscore their opponents by a score of 22-6, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers climbed up one spot to #4 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings released Monday by the National Office.
FSW improved to 19-3 on the year with a pair of Citrus Conference sweeps, first handling Miami Dade 3-1 and 10-2 at home in a doubleheader before taking down Central Florida on the road 4-3 and 5-0.
Grayson took over the top spot in this week's poll with Northwest Florida dropping one spot to #2 and Northeast Alabama remaining at #3 in front of the Bucs. FSW and Northwest Florida were two of nine FCSAA teams in the Top 25 this week including five in the Top 10. Indian River was #5 behind the Bucs with Eastern Florida climbing to their highest ranking ever at #6, Santa Fe at #8, Seminole State at #15, Miami Dade at #19, Daytona State at #21, and Gulf Coast State at #23.
FSW is back in action at home on Tuesday when they host St. Petersburg in a 1 PM doubleheader at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers before heading on the road for a Top 10 matchup with #6 Eastern Florida Saturday in Melbourne.
