100 Straight Weeks in NJCAA Top 5 For FSW Softball
A lot of different things have happened since April 20, 2016. One thing that hasn’t, is the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers Softball team not being in the top five of the NJCAA National Rankings. Monday marked the 100th straight week of the regular season with FSW ranked in the top five as they checked in at #4 with a 24-4 record on the year.

Monday marked the 100th straight week of the regular season with FSW ranked in the top five as they checked in at #4 with a 24-4 record on the year.
The Bucs actually dropped one spot to #4 in the National Rankings Monday after a shocking split against Polk State on Saturday on the road in Winter Haven. FSW dropped a 3-2 decision in game one before taking out their frustrations on the Eagles in game two with a 15-3 run rule win to move to 24-4 on the year.
Grayson took over the top spot in the poll with Northeast Alabama jumping the Bucs and Northwest Florida to #2 while Trinity Valley rounded out the top five. FCSAA teams were dotted all over the week four rankings with Northwest Florida at #3, FSW at #4, Santa Fe at #6, Indian River, Eastern Florida, and Seminole State consecutively at #9, #10, and #11, Miami Dade at #17, Daytona State at #20, and Gulf Coast at #23.
It marks the 100th straight regular season poll that the Bucs have been ranked in the top five Nationally, dating all the way back to April 20, 2016 during FSW's inaugural season.
The Bucs will put their #4 ranking on the line with a pair of Top 10 matchups this week as they take on #9 Indian River on the road in Fort Pierce Tuesday before hosting #6 Santa Fe at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers Saturday in a doubleheader beginning at noon.
