CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Two perfect games has turned into two NJCAA National Pitcher of the Week honors for Florida SouthWestern freshman Charlotte Graham as the New Zealander was tabbed the Nation's top hurler for week eight after firing a perfect game Thursday against St. Petersburg and beating #10 Eastern Florida on Saturday for the Bucs.
For the second time this season Graham threw a perfect game against St. Petersburg on Thursday, nearly identically matching her results from the first go round with the Titans. She retired all 18 hitters she faced, 11 of them via strikeout in a 10-0 FSW run rule win. Saturday she took the ball again, this time against #10 Eastern Florida and scattered five hits in 5 1/3 one run innings to pick up the win as FSW completed the sweep of the Titans with a 5-1 victory.
On the season Graham is 9-1 with a 1.20 ERA, racking up 79 strikeouts in 52 2/3 innings pitched.
She continues to make program history as both the first pitcher to throw multiple perfect games and now the first pitcher to earn multiple NJCAA National Pitcher of the Week honors.
Graham and the Bucs are back in action on Saturday when they host Polk State in a doubleheader beginning at 1 PM at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.
