Bucs See Season End at Hands of Commodores Once Again

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers FCSAA State Tournament run came to a close Wednesday night the same way it had the past three seasons, with a loss to the Gulf Coast State Commodores. Unlike the other three years though, FSW had a real shot on Wednesday, taking a fourth quarter lead before seeing it disappear and the Commodores run away with an 81-71 win to end the Bucs season.

Retamales Steals the Show in Sophomore Night Upset of #18 Indian River

Someone forgot to tell Florida SouthWestern State freshman Macarena Retamales that Wednesday night's game against #18 Indian River was set as the Bucs' sophomore night, but the four FSW Class of 2021 sophomores didn't mind.  Retamales went off for a career high 23 points, leading the Bucs to a 67-64 win to bring FSW to within one win of their fourth straight Conference Championship.

Bucs Clinch Spot in State Tournament With Win Over Palm Beach

With March Madness beginning in Indianapolis and San Antonio this week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers assured that they would be competing in some March (April) Madness of their own this season, beating Palm Beach State 68-61 to punch their ticket to Niceville and the 2021 FCSAA State Tournament.

Williams' Monster Game Not Enough For Bucs Against Palm Beach

Patience Williams scored 32 points and had 18 rebounds, but it wasn't enough Saturday afternoon for the #12 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers as the Bucs were shocked at home 70-66 by Palm Beach State for their first Southern Conference loss of the 2021 season.

FSW Wins Battle of the 12s

It was a unique matchup Thursday afternoon in Suncoast Credit Union Arena as the #12 team in NJCAA's Division I, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, took on the #12 team in NJCAA's Division II, the Morton Panthers from Illinois. After being tied at 21 at the end of one, FSW dominated the final three quarters of action, pulling ahead for a 14 point lead at the half before going on to win 78-51 to improve to 5-1 on the season.

'Solid Six' Sneak Past Palm Beach in Conference Opener

Everything was stacked against the #12 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers Wednesday night as they went on the road for their 2021 Southern Conference opener against the Palm Beach Panthers.  The Bucs were on the road in an unfamiliar atmosphere, taking the court for the first time in 21 days, and dressed just six players for the contest.  Despite all of that, the self named 'Solid Six' went to Lake Worth and grinded out a 54-48 victory to move to 2-0 on the year.

Bucs Begin Ellis Era With a Win

It was a slow start for the #14 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers Wednesday night in their 2021 season opener against Hillsborough, but that should have been expected as the Bucs took the court for the first time in 316 days after the cancellation of their 2020 postseason and the two month postponement of their current campaign.  The Bucs shook off the slow start though, picking things up in the second half to come away with a 70-52 win over the Hawks, giving new Head Coach Dr. Jerald Ellis win number one on the end of the FSW bench.
