Freshman (2019-20): Rios played in all 31 games for FSW as a freshman, drawing six starts at the point guard position.  She averaged 2.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game while also chipping in 1.9 points per contest.  She scored a career high 8 early in the season against Daytona State and later matched that number in a win over Elite Prep in which she also had a career high 9 assists.  Rios was solid at the point late in the year, posting a 41/15 assist to turnover ratio in the Bucs final 13 contests.  

High School: Rios played at Timber Creek High School in Orlando, earning 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Area honors as a senior when she averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists per contest.  

Personal: Both June 8, 2001, Rios is the daughter of Natasha Mora.  She has two sisters, Tahliya and Julissa, and one brother, Armani.

After helping lead the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to a pair of Conference Championships the past two seasons, sophomore guard Geovana Rios has signed to continue her playing career at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee.

Bucs Comeback Bid Comes Up Just Short Against Miami Dade

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers took care of what they thought was going to be the hard part of their final week of Southern Conference play on Wednesday, defeating #18 Indian River to take over first place in the conference standings, but little did they know, Saturday's matchup against Miami Dade, who had won just one conference game all season going into the afternoon, would be the ones to dash their hopes as the Sharks raced out to a 25 point second half lead before holding off a late comeback by FSW for a 67-65 win. After 40 grueling minutes against the Sharks Saturday, the Bucs now turn to Miami Dade fans as their Conference Championship hopes lie in the Sharks' fins.  A Miami Dade win over Indian River Monday gives the Bucs the Southern crown while a Pioneer victory would send the title to Fort Pierce.

Bucs Take Round One in North Carolina

While most spring breakers are heading to sunny Florida for their week off of school, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers headed the other way to North Carolina to play two games in two days in the Tar Heel State.  In their first game of the trip, the Bucs took care of business, getting 16 points from A'Moni Waiters and a double-double from Tyshonne Tollie as they rolled past the Caldwell Tech Cobras 94-59 to improve to 9-4 on the year.

FSW Wins Battle of the 12s

It was a unique matchup Thursday afternoon in Suncoast Credit Union Arena as the #12 team in NJCAA's Division I, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, took on the #12 team in NJCAA's Division II, the Morton Panthers from Illinois. After being tied at 21 at the end of one, FSW dominated the final three quarters of action, pulling ahead for a 14 point lead at the half before going on to win 78-51 to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Bucs Claim #3 Spot in World Exposure Report's Preseason Rankings
