Medical Redshirt (2019-20): Taylor played in six games for the Bucs before seeing her sophomore season come to an end due to an injury.  She pulled down 1.7 rebounds and chipped in 0.5 points per game on the year. She scored both a season high 3 and grabbed a season high 5 in a win over Broward before her injury.  

Freshman (2018-19): Taylor played her freshman season at Morton College in Illinois where she nearly averaged a double-double with 9.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for the Panthers.  She had four games of 15 or more points, putting up a career high 19 against Lake County.  Taylor also recorded a career high 23 rebounds in that game, one of a pair of 20 rebound contests for her during her rookie campaign.  

High School: Prepped at Olympion Gymnasioum and Lyceum where she was named her team MVP four times.  As a senior she shot an eye popping 83% from the field, putting up 12 points and 15 rebounds per night.  She won three State Championships in high school while also helping Cypress to a berth in the FIBA European Championships.  A well rounded athlete, Taylor also participated in Soccer and Badminton in high school.

After helping the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to a pair of Conference Championships in her two seasons in Fort Myers, sophomore Kyriaki Taylor will look to take her winning ways North with her to Georgia as she has signed to play at Piedmont University next season.

Bucs Take Round One in North Carolina

While most spring breakers are heading to sunny Florida for their week off of school, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers headed the other way to North Carolina to play two games in two days in the Tar Heel State.  In their first game of the trip, the Bucs took care of business, getting 16 points from A'Moni Waiters and a double-double from Tyshonne Tollie as they rolled past the Caldwell Tech Cobras 94-59 to improve to 9-4 on the year.

'Solid Six' Sneak Past Palm Beach in Conference Opener

Everything was stacked against the #12 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers Wednesday night as they went on the road for their 2021 Southern Conference opener against the Palm Beach Panthers.  The Bucs were on the road in an unfamiliar atmosphere, taking the court for the first time in 21 days, and dressed just six players for the contest.  Despite all of that, the self named 'Solid Six' went to Lake Worth and grinded out a 54-48 victory to move to 2-0 on the year.

With one of the top returning players in the country coming back to lead the way and a group of talented newcomers taking the floor for the Buccaneers, the Florida SouthWestern Women’s Basketball program has been ranked #3 in World Exposure Report’s Way-Too-Early NJCAA D1 Women’s Basketball Top 25.
