CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Off to a 2-1 start to the 2025-2026 season, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers checked in at #18 in the first NJCAA Women's Basketball Rankings of the regular season on Monday.
The Bucs bounced back from an opening night loss to DII #13 Chattahoochee Valley with wins over USC Salkehatchie and Palm Beach State to begin their campaign 2-1.
As usual, the preseason rankings saw a shakeup in the first regular season poll with Northwest Florida at #1 the lone team to hold their spot after two weeks of play. Dodge City, Chipola, Three Rivers, and Gulf Coast State rounded out the Top 5 in the first poll while a handful of teams moved in and out of the poll.
The Bucs play their only non-conference home games of the year this weekend when they host Western Wyoming Friday and #1 Northwest Florida Saturday at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers.
