Freshman (2024-25): Konate played in 29 games for the Bucs last season, averaging 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. He had his best scoring effort of the year early on when he went for 10 points in a win over Albany Tech. Late in the year he had probably the most complete game of his freshman season, putting up 7 points and 6 assists as the Bucs beat Indian River at home in Suncoast Arena.

Bucs Clipped at the Wire by #7 Gulf Coast

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers went toe to toe with the #7 Gulf Coast State Commodores for 40 minutes Wednesday night in a rare midweek non-conference matchup between the two in-state foes in Suncoast Arena. In a game that featured 17 ties and 22 lead changes, the Bucs held a lead late, but Gulf Coast got a shot to fall in the final minute of the contest to win it 74-72 to send FSW to their first home loss of the 2025-2026 season.
