Freshman (2024): Gamboa transfers to FSW after spending her freshman season at Trinity Valley where she was a 2nd Team NJCAA and 3rd Team AVCA All-American for the Cardinals. She had a monster freshman season for the Cards, finishing with over 500 kills at a clip of 4.07 per set while also collecting 2.74 digs per set for TVCC who made a run to the NJCAA National Tournament. She had double digit kills in 28 different matches and topped the 20 kill mark six times including a pair of 26 kill matches against New Mexico and Indian Hills. A six rotation outside, Gamboa also produced defensively where she racked up 21 double-doubles on the year including five straight to end the regular season and begin the postseason for the Cards.
High School: Gamboa went to Centro de Capacitacion Santa Ines in Colombia.
Personal: Born October 4, 2005, she is the daughter of Elizabeth Gamboa. She has three sisters, Flor (13), Sofia (15), Julieta (29), and one brother, Carlos (29).

News mentions
After help lead the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers to a 53-5 record the past two seasons, sophomore middle Valentina Zevallos has signed to play at Southern Illinois University in 2026.
Florida SouthWestern fan favorite Magi Milicevic will be headed to the Division I level next season after signing with Binghamton University in New York.
Aleksandra Lucic made the most of her only season with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers in 2025, earning 1st Team All-Conference and 3rd Team All-American honors while helping lead the Bucs to their fourth straight National Championship Game appearance. Now she will be taking her talents to New York after signing with Mercy College to continue her academic and playing career.
Following an All-American sophomore campaign with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaners, setter Irina Makinen has signed to continue her athletic and academic career next season at Eckerd College where she will reunite with FSW teammate Sarah Webb with the Tritons.
Following a pair of All-Conference seasons on the court with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, sophomore Giovanna Rocha will try her luck on the sand the next couple of seasons after signing to play Beach Volleyball at the University of South Florida.
After winning a pair of National Championships with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, sophomore outside hitter Sara Gasparini is off to the Division I level after signing to play at Morgan State University for the 2026 season.
While Florida SouthWestern Buccaneer fans unfortunately didn't get the chance to see setter Dinara Sabitova play in the Purple and Aqua this season because of NJCAA rules, they won't have to go far to see what they missed next season as the Bucs freshman is headed across town to Florida Gulf Coast University where she will have two seasons to play with the Eagles starting in the fall of 2026.
After an All-American sophomore season for the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, outside hitter Sara Gamboa will be heading to the East Coast of the Sunshine State next year after signing with Florida Atlantic University.
