Bio

Freshman (2024-2025): Giles spent his freshman season at West Virginia State where he drew 20 starts in his 28 games played, averaging 10.7 poitns and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Yellow Jackets. He scored in double figures 14 times including four 20+ point scoring efforts.  He exploded for 31 points in just 21 minutes against Bluefield State and backed that up with 20 points the next time out against Gannon. 

High School: Giles prepped at Maple Heights High School in Cleveland where he averaged 20 points per game as a senior and led his team to a State Championship. 

Personal: Born May 14, 2005, he is the son of Dominique Giles. He has an older sister, Dominique (25), and an older brother, Kawayne (30).

The #24 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers hammered the visiting Miami Dade Sharks Wednesday night at home in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, using a 51 point second half to blow out the Sharks 95-55 to set up a showdown for first place in the Citrus Conference Saturday against #15 Daytona State in Fort Myers.

Gritty Effort Earns Bucs 20th Win

To rise to the top spot in the Citrus Conference standings, the #21 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers have been lighting up the scoreboard for over 90 points per night during their seven game win streak. Wednesday night they turned to their defense who stymied the Hillsborough Hawks to the tune of just 51 points as they gutted out a 63-51 victory to top the 20 win mark for the eighth time in the 10 years of program history.

Bucs Defense Locks Down For Road Win

During their recent five game winning streak, the #22 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers have been one of the more dynamic offensive teams in the country, lighting up the scoreboard for over 90 points per game while moving into first place in the Citrus Conference standings. Wednesday night, the shots weren't falling at the rate they had been for the Bucs, but they still found a way to get it done, holding St. Petersburg to just 57 points in a 69-57 win to improve to 18-5 on the year.

There is a new team holding the first place spot in the Citrus Conference standings Saturday night as the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers went on the road and defeated the #9 Daytona State Falcons behind 28 points apiece from Mason Blazer and Lamont Hartfield to give them the top spot after two weeks of league play.

Giles Big Night Leads Bucs Over Titans

Florida SouthWestern's Kenyon Giles didn't start the Bucs game Wednesday night against the visiting Eastern Florida Titans, but he certainly finished it, pouring in a season high 29 points and connecting on seven three pointers as FSW erased an early deficit for an entertaining 97-82 Citrus Conference victory over the Titans.

Opportunistic Bucs Get Past Titans in Citrus Opener

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers opened Citrus Conference play with an 86-69 win over St. Petersburg Saturday afternoon in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, taking full advantage of 13 Titan turnovers, scoring an almost unbelievable 28 points off of them to kick off 2026 with their fourth consecutive win.

Bucs Clipped at the Wire by #7 Gulf Coast

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers went toe to toe with the #7 Gulf Coast State Commodores for 40 minutes Wednesday night in a rare midweek non-conference matchup between the two in-state foes in Suncoast Arena. In a game that featured 17 ties and 22 lead changes, the Bucs held a lead late, but Gulf Coast got a shot to fall in the final minute of the contest to win it 74-72 to send FSW to their first home loss of the 2025-2026 season.

Bucs Score Season High 114 in Blowout Win

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers were clicking on all cylinders Sunday afternoon to close out the Jim Cox Classic in Miami, shooting 60% from the field and 48% from the three point line while dishing out 33 assists on 47 made baskets in a 114-75 blowout of Southern Union State for their sixth straight victory.
